The Federation of the Cultivar Nation is a fledgling, cultured, nomadic group of 10 tribes. They are renowned for their barren, inhospitable landscape, avowedly heterosexual populace, and compulsory military service. They have a Matriarchal family social system in which women hold the primary power positions in roles of family authority. The common belief in the cultivar culture is that the mother is the most important person in society. Women rule the domestic realm of family life. In Cultivar Nationian society, women hold a unique role believed to be associated with the earth's power to create life. The hard-working, devout population of 6 million Cultivar Nationians have full civil rights; they enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and participate in free and open elections every two years.
